REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Registration Form

Workshops begin Wed. afternoon, August 16
Quilt Exhibits: 8 am – 7 pm (Thurs. & Fri.)
Quilt Exhibits: 8 am – 5 pm (Saturday)
Merchant Mall: 10 am – 7 pm (Thurs. & Fri.)
Merchant Mall: 9 am – 5 pm (Saturday)

Note: All registrations must be received by August 1, 2006 to be considered pre-registered. All registrations received after that date may be picked up at the Registration Desk at the show. 

  1. General Registration. General registration will begin February 1, 2006.
  2. Registration Form. Please use a separate Registration Form for each person. The Registration Form may be reproduced. It is recommended that a copy of the completed form be kept for individual records. Sorry, notelephone registrations can be accepted.
  3. Class Selection. Please indicate 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd choices for each time period in case of filled classes. Include payment for your first choiceonly. There will be no waiting lists.
  4. Registration Fee. A $35 non-refundable Registration Fee will be charged to each registration to include admission to Exhibits and Merchant Mall, exclusive QTW 2006 tote bag and neck wallet, and registration processing .
  5. Payment. All payments must be made in full to receive the confirmation packet. Register using one of the following methods (no phone calls):
    • By fax with credit card only - fax registration form to: 952-346-0347.
    • By mail with check or money order payable to: Quilting on the Waterfront~Machines in Motionin US dollars only. Send to:

    • One check or money order per Registration Form. No group checks will be accepted.
    • Incomplete, incorrect, illegible, expired or declined credit card information will be charged an additional $10 fee.
    • There will be a $25 service fee for any NSF checks submitted.
  1. Class Changes. Please plan and register carefully. A $10 drop fee will be assessed for each class exchanged after registration has been processed, unless due to an error on our part. A $5 fee will also be assessed for each lecture and/or special event exchanged after registration has been processed. All requests to add or drop must be received in writing by July 15, 2006.     No refunds for dropped or exchanged classes will be issued after July 15. No refunds will be issued if a dropped class is listed as Full.  
  2. Cancellations. To cancel a complete registration, mail the original Confirmation Form, name badge, and tickets back to the Registration address above. An administrative fee of $15 per workshop, and $5 per lecture and/or special event will be assessed on all cancellations received before July 15, 2006 as well as the $35 Registration Fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after July 15, 2006.  
  3. Class Limits. Should a class not receive at least ten (10) student registrations, QTW reserves the right to cancel that class. If cancelled, any student enrolled in that class will be promptly notified and offered alternative class choices.
  4. Confirmation Packets. Confirmation Packets will be processed and mailed out within four weeks after registration has been received and payment has been verified. Registrations received after August 1, 2006 will be held at the Registration Desk at the show for pickup. If, after four weeks from submitting your Registration Form, a Confirmation Packet has not been received, please contact Jean Pederson via email at: registration@quiltingonthewaterfront.com

    NOTE: There will be a $15 reprinting fee for lost Confirmation Packets.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION

Registration is located in the Edmund Fitzgerald Hall of the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Registration Desk hours will be:

Wed., August 16 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Thurs., August 17 7:30 am – 7:00 pm
Fri., August 18 7:30 am – 7:00 pm
Sat., August 19 7:30 am – 3:00 pm

If you are registered and have paid all fees, please stop by the Registration Desk to pick up a QTW 2006 tote bag, neck wallet, and class location map.

SUPPLY LISTS

Supply lists for confirmed workshops will be sent in the Confirmation Packets. They will also be available on the show’s website. Participants attending lectures need only bring paper and a pencil.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

  • All classes, exhibits and vendors are located in the DECC.
  • We suggest you wear comfortable clothing and shoes, including a sweater. Temperatures may change, due to air conditioning in classrooms and exhibit areas.
  • Please carry proof of medical insurance, as well as any prescription medications taken, in case of sudden illness or injury while at the show.
  • Duluth weather is typically warm in August. Bring a light jacket or sweater, as evenings can be cool - - especially along Lake Superior.
  • A Check Room area will be provided to store strollers, sewing machines, bags, etc. for $1 per item. The Check Room area will only be available during show hours – not overnight. QTW will not be responsible for any articles left in this area after exhibit hours.
